Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the maiden important achievement of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he once was, and would definitely contemplate prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
